A patio that sinks or grows a lip between stones has a base problem, not a stone problem. Colorado freeze thaw finds every shortcut in depth and compaction. The base is the part you never see. It decides whether the patio still looks right in year five.

Questions we get
Why is my patio uneven?
Usually settling from a base that was too shallow or not compacted. Sometimes water moving underneath. Relaying the surface without fixing that just resets the clock.
Can you do hardscape and a deck together?
Often that is the better plan. Stone steps landing off a deck need both trades sequenced. Doing them as one project avoids tearing up finished work.
